Malcolm Bishop, Spurr Cars, says "The design of the front end is a serious and makes the car look as if it means business." |
Steve:- This is the ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan! I bought this car because it was cheap and I liked the back end, nobody was really interested in the car, not even those selling it, it's sales video included watching a trans am arriving. It arrived in England and then was left , by me, sitting in a corner for 3 years. Then it started, people would walk past all the others and go up to it, I thought they would head to the Plymouth but no it was always the Dodge. I worked through various issues with it but it still wasn't quite right, so I agreed to sell it for £10,000. Then I changed the points again and the car sprang to life, black paint on the fins and lower body finished it off just right. Now it drives without missing a beat, it doesn't burn oil, its one of the best cars i've got. I put in a new interior at Rotherham Upholsterers, who found under the back seat, 2 magazines Life and Rock Drumming, left by a production line worker who built the car, 52 years before! No I didn't sell, and I NEVER WILL, fortunately for me the sale fell through. The Swan has arrived and home to stay, this is the True 'Classic' Ugly Duckling Story |
