HUMOUR

The most completely wasted of all days is that in which we have not laughed.

Nicholas Chamfort.

1741-1794

My most successful days are when I distract myself with Riddles and Jokes.

Sylvie Wright.

March 2019

Multiple Sclerosis is a beast, it can make one into something one really doesn’t want to be, in my case a pedantic, habit ridden, slightly demanding (ok very demanding), emotional storm of a person. This is a person, that when I am not her, I do not like and I’m sure it’s the person my carers prefer not to see at any time.

The best way have found to not be her is to try distract my brain from those pathways by thinking of jokes, telling jokes, thinking of saying that don’t make sense as well as making u and telling riddles. Sometimes it works to distract me, sometimes it does not but it is definitely a better option than doing nothing.

Writing my book of jokes and riddles has been part of this process, but the thing about books is that they take a lot longer to come to fruition than one originally hoped, so in the interim I’m also getting my humour out there through my new YouTube channel, Sylvie Wright
